2018 is our 30th year as painting contractors in the Portland Metro area. We have repainted many houses that we first painted years ago. Aside from a good fresh look, homeowners want longevity from their exterior painters and we strive for the longest paint job that we can provide by using excellent preparation, proper methods, and by using top quality paints.
Our 'go to' paint is Sherwin Williams Superpaint. We have used it for many years and have had great success with it, Sherwin is the largest and oldest paint company in the country and they invest a lot in research and development. Another good option is to paint with their Duration exterior paint. Its about 25% more expensive than Superpaint but, we believe, worth the money. I painted my house 12 years ago with it and the place still looks very good. We often use it when painting the trim on a house since it is more exposed to the weather than paint on the siding. The trim on a house doesn't take very many gallons of paint, so the expense isn't much more. We are happy to use other brands of paint, of course since some homeowners have a personal preference.
